1. PURPOSE
This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which CarGuard Ghana (“CarGuard,” “We,” “Our,” or “Us”) will issue refunds to Customers (“Client” or “Customer”) for Services Purchased, Subscribed to, or Contracted under the CarGuard Brand. The policy ensures Transparency, Fairness, and Compliance with Applicable Consumer Protection Regulations in Ghana.
2. COVERED SERVICES
This Policy applies to all Services and Products offered by CarGuard Ghana, including but not limited to:
- Roadside Assistance Packages (Basic – Escort Service; Premium – Full Response Service)
- Vehicle Tracking and IoT Fleet Management Services
- CarGuard Membership and Subscription Plans
- Corporate Fleet and Commercial Service Agreements
- Insurance-Backed Vehicle Protection or Claims Assistance Packages
- Installation Fees, Equipment, and IoT Devices provided under Service Contracts
4. CONDITIONS FOR FULL OR PARTIAL REFUND
Refunds will be Considered under the following Situations:
- Service Non-Delivery:
If CarGuard fails to deliver the agreed Service due to Internal Errors or Unavailability, and No Service or benefit has been Rendered.
- Technical Defects or Malfunctions:
If IoT or Tracking Devices supplied by CarGuard are proven defective within 30 days of installation, and CarGuard is unable to Replace or Repair them within a reasonable time (14 Business Days).
- Duplicate Billing or Erroneous Charges:
In Case of Accidental Double Billing, Unauthorized Charges, or payment errors confirmed by CarGuard or the Customer’s Financial Institution.
- Service Downtime Beyond Contract Terms:
If Downtime or Service Failure exceeds 72 Consecutive Hours without Resolution, Customers may receive a Credit or Pro-Rated Refund based on the affected Service Period.
5. REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE
To request a Refund:
- Submit a Written Request via Email to refunds@carguardghana.comor in person at any authorized CarGuard Ghana office.
- Include:
- Full Name and Contact Details
- Service Plan or Contract Reference Number
- Proof of Payment
- Reason for Refund request and any Supporting Documentation
- Refund Evaluations will be completed within 10 Business Days, and approved Refunds processed within 14 Business Daysof approval.
All approved Refunds will be made through the Original Payment Method unless otherwise agreed in Writing.
6. REFUNDS ON CORPORATE OR PARTNER CONTRACTS
For Corporate Fleet Clients, Insurance Partners, or Co-Branded Service Arrangements, Refund requests will follow Contract-Specific Terms, and this General Refund Policy applies only where those agreements do not supersede it.
7. TERMINATION & SERVICE CANCELLATION
Customers may terminate a service by giving 30 days’ Written Notice.
Refunds, if applicable, will be calculated only for Prepaid, Unused Portions of the service period and subject to Section 3 and 4 of this policy.
8. DISPUTES & GOVERNING LAW
Any Disputes arising under this Policy will be handled in Accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Ghana.
CarGuard Ghana reserves the right to Modify or Update this Refund Policy as needed, with all changes communicated through the Company’s Official Website and Sales Contracts.
